Did you own a Walkman, play Donkey Kong or watch the Goonies? We made this show for you (oh, and for your kids).

The year is 1982, and three kids are in trouble. Bored one day, they try to get into their uncle’s mysterious attic and suddenly find themselves opening a door onto a parallel dimension, the city of Vernopolis, where no one has fun anymore. By means of Dip Dabs, walkie talkies, and magical bandanas, you’ll be taken with them through the Improbable and the Unlikely, via the Intriguing and the Unethical, all the way back to where you started – not much older, hardly any wiser, but glad you went.

Along the way expect a play within a play, epic songs, a dash of Spielberg and Shakespeare, hip hop, and other incompatible styles in this unashamedly 80s Sci-Fi coming-of-age adventure for all the family.

Touring

Being performed nearly 100 times across the UK, Journey to the Impossible is still available for touring.  Past venues include Salisbury Playhouse and The Lowry, as well as rural touring schemes, e.g. Carn to Cove. The show was commissioned by The Bike Shed Theatre in Exeter as an antidote to your conventional Christmas pantos.
